When I think of shopping sites that always have all the trends, and a good mix of affordable and designer pieces, Revolve and Shopbop always come to mind first. And I don't know about you, but these days, I just want to buy more of the easy-to-wear trends I already know and love. And in case you're on the same wavelength as me right now, keep reading.
Among Shopbop and Revolve's vast inventory are plenty of special occasion pieces and brand-new, directional pieces, but I just want to wear comfortable things that go with pieces I already own currently, so that's what I went in search for. The seven trends listed below are still quite forward and cool, but you won't look like you're trying too hard while just wearing them to lounge at home or to go to the grocery store.
Keep scrolling the most affordable, related trends at two of yours and my favorite sites, and shop my selections for each.
Camp shirts, aka dad shirts, are that rare item that looks cool with everything from bike shorts to midi skirts. You can leave them out, tuck them in, layer them over a tank, or even wear one as a swimsuit cover-up. No matter how you choose to style it, it's pretty impossible not to look cool.
Gone are the days when pleats were considered frumpy. Some of my favorite pants and shorts have pleats. They're comfortable and far more flattering than they were in the '80s and '90s, so I urge you to not shy away from this trend.
I'm wearing breezy tiered dresses as house dresses now but when I start going out a little more, I'm just going to throw on a pair of heels (low heels, that is) and head out the door. Gotta love a one-and-done outfit.
Yes, tie-dye is back this summer and it's better than ever at Revolve and Shopbop. Sweats and tees are the obvious choice, but I'm also loving tie-dye dresses and accessories.
I wouldn't call embroidery a new trend, per se (it's readily available every summer), but I've spotted more pretty embroidered pieces than ever (and for reasonable prices) this summer.
Oversize button-downs can be paired with leggings, sweatshorts, swimsuits, skinny jeans—you name it. So it's easy to see why everyone is wearing them this summer. I'd advise considering sizing up for the most of-the-moment fit.
If you want to wear comfortable flip-flops and actually look chic, pair them with something a bit more elevated than "beachy." And even better, choose a pair of flip-flops that aren't your basic rubber ones, many of which you can find at Revolve and Shopbop.
Next up, 28 cute Nordstrom pieces that will lead to so many summer outfits.
