Black Friday is getting close, folks, and it's not too soon to start planning your shopping for the highly anticipated day. Recently, we've been reporting on what we are (and recommend) buying from the sales, but truth be told, we just got a bit of a wake-up call from fashion and retail technology company Edited. Often our source of retail and shopping trend data, Edited recently put out a report for retailers on how to prepare themselves for the biggest shopping day of the year, and among the advice were seven trends the team recommends not marking down on Black Friday. The reason? Edited says, "Black Friday is an opportunity to clear older pieces ahead of the peak Christmas period and ring in the new year with a fresh assortment. We can already see rapid sell out (and not just for sneakers!) at full price on these products."
It makes perfect sense to not reduce prices on things that are selling out anyway, and it's perhaps a good reason to stick to buying more basics on Black Friday, like jeans and cashmere sweaters. It's also a good reason to consider shopping for the trends Edited names before Black Friday (and before they sell out). With that, keep scrolling to shop the seven trends you probably won't see reduced on Black Friday, and then read the report in full for more shopping insights.
