According to my calendar and the New York City forecast, spring has officially sprung. When we were in the depths of winter and the temperatures refused to go above 30°, I found myself bookmarking trendy ensembles for this very moment, and it's safe to say it paid off. Now I have a collection of ultra-chic looks from my favorite content creators, some of whom also happen to be my stylish co-workers. Senior fashion market editor Judith Jones, assistant shopping editor Ana Escalante, editor Eliza Huber, and content creator Emma Arletta are serving up spring looks like it's their job (okay, it kind of is their job), and luckily for us, they snagged all their favorite pieces at one place: Macy's. It's unlike me to hide my excitement about a new season (or anything, really), so below, I'm sharing all their chic spring outfits, which are living in my head rent-free. If you want to see why Macy's remains a one-stop shop for your favorite fashion experts, keep scrolling and prepare to shop their looks.
"This look is definitely putting a spring in my step! Now that the temps are slowly starting to warm up, a clean and simple black miniskirt is the perfect way to break free from the heavy jeans and pants I've been wearing over the past three months. I'm pairing the skirt with a crisp baby tee and leather bomber jacket, which lean into the minimalist '90s trend that's in full force. (Think clean lines, minimalist silhouettes, understated fabrics and colors, and simple silhouettes. It's a trend we've seen all over the runways these past few seasons, and it's incredibly wearable.) I've pulled the look together with polished accessories—a classic black belt, statement hoop earrings, and a pair of cool fisherman sandals—that say spring has sprung! This look will easily take you from day to night. I'd wear it on weekends and for informal meetings and press previews during the workweek."
"My friends know me for my odd-ball, eclectic mix of patterns, colors, and silhouettes. I'm constantly putting together and deconstructing different aesthetics, trends, and looks that feel right to me. While I tried to implement staples I know will live far beyond the spring season (flared jeans and incredible slingback pumps), I chose to experiment more with my dream Tabby 26 Bag from Coach and an olive faux-leather belted jacket. Macy's is my secret weapon for accomplishing an incredible spring wardrobe filled with timeless basics and fun, elevated accessories that still speak to me and my Gen Z vibe. The colors in this look are everything to me. I absolutely love how the deep green, light peach, warm yellow, and silver accents all contrast with each other to make everything pop. I've worn it up and down New York City, zipping around SoHo for press appointments and catching a much-needed drink with my girlfriends after a long day of work. I'm obsessed with how wearable it is, taking me seamlessly from day to night—frankly the only thing you can ask for when you have a hectic life."
"I like to think of spring as the season when I'm most innovative with my style, adding unexpected accessories but still relying on classics to balance out a look. Here, I played around with basics—you can't go wrong with a slip skirt and knee-high boots—and more trend-forward pieces including this draped, mock-neck top from DKNY, my Levi's leather bomber jacket, and these Tory Burch–inspired fishnet tights from Natori that you can only see when I walk. The leather bomber is especially perfect for this season—it's been seen on celebrities including Kendall Jenner and Laura Harrier and has the power to make even the simplest of outfits look cool and casual. Whenever I'm looking to introduce a trend into my wardrobe, I go to Macy's first because I know I'll be able to find an expensive-looking yet surprisingly affordable take on it."
"I like to invest in pieces that fit my plus-size body well and then use accessories to bring in more current trends. I'm loving the pairing of chrome accessories and staple pieces. These chrome pointed-toe heels and slouchy clutch bring to life the classic cargos and crop top we have all been loving. I also like pairing baggier, more relaxed pieces with elevated, more formal pieces to achieve that effortless, chic spring look. I found this cropped tee by looking at Macy's suggested ways to style the cargo pants! It's like a free styling service built in as you shop. This outfit looks like I didn't put too much thought into it, but it still looks put-together. I would wear this to happy hour with co-workers or on a casual date night with my man!"
