On Aug. 14, Deschanel and Jonathan Scott announced their engagement on Instagram with a sweet selfie, offering a close-up look at the actor's one-of-a-kind engagement ring. "Forever starts now!!!" the couple captioned their joint post. According to People, the "Property Brothers" star proposed to the bride-to-be during a family trip to Scotland, with a unique sparkler featuring a colorful floral design. Deschanel's ring appears to spotlight several different gems, including a center purple flower stone and additional silver and pink diamonds. Her adorable, Barbie-pink manicure complemented the gorgeous piece of jewelry. Classic rings are always in style, but unique engagement rings, particularly with multiple stones, have become more prominent in recent years. While Deschanel has not yet shared the significance of her jewelry, rings with three stones typically represent a couple's past, present, and future.
