Dua Lipa continues to lean into the ever-popular Barbiecore trend, posting a series of snapshots to Instagram on Monday in which she's wearing the iconic doll's favorite color from top to toe. A big fan of the impromptu IG shoot, Lipa struck several poses in the doorway of an elevator, wearing a pale-pink crop top and matching shorts from Givenchy. Both items in the chic set conveyed an athletic air, complete with a belt around the bottom and top bands.
On the footwear front, she doubled down on the '80s-inspired workout ensemble and took the opportunity to showcase one of her most recent collaborations. She stepped out in a pair of midcalf tube socks and pink metallic sneakers from her Puma x Dua Lipa collection. In the caption, the 26-year-old singer wrote, "last night on my way to my favorite festival @sunnyhillfestival!!!!" The IG carousel contains an assortment of images from Lipa's elevator shoot, including glimpses of her and her friends as they prepared for an evening out together. She kept accessories to a minimum, opting for understated silver hoop earrings that matched the color of the belt buckles on the Givenchy set.
Valentino is often credited with bringing pink back to the fashion forefront after the label debuted its A/W 2022 collection in March, which prominently featured the bold shade. The buzz surrounding the upcoming "Barbie" movie has also contributed to general excitement about all things pink and explains the slight 1980s influences that have been evident in celebrity Barbiecore looks like Lipa's latest. Of course, this pale-pink Givenchy set isn't the first time Lipa has embraced Barbiecore. She recently donned a Balenciaga catsuit and matching opera-length gloves during her "Future Nostalgia" tour. And then, a few months later on the same tour, the 26-year-old sported a bright-pink sequin miniskirt, matching bra, and gloves, all designed by Valentino. Check out her look from every angle.
