The It Colors to Know for Spring 2022, as Told by the Runways https://ift.tt/iBSRgh9

Despite it snowing on the east coast last week, great weather is starting to trickle in and our attention is moving towards the next: Spring. We've been sharing all the information you need on trends we predict will take over in the months to come, but it's finally time to talk about our favorite sartorial report—the it-colors to know. While there were a variety of vibrant hues seen go down the S/S 22 runways, we did take notes on the shades that stood out the most. While we usually see more attention towards neutrals and muted tones in the winter, spring is clearly all about saturated shades.

Whether it was Christian Siriano sending a lime-green suit down the runway or Proenza Schouler showcasing a fringed orange dress of our dreams, designers had no shortage of vibrant hues amongst their collections. As we move away from dreary weather and the sun finally starts to set after 5PM, it makes sense that designers injected the most vibrant hues into their spring pieces. Keep scrolling to find out the colors we're most excited about for the season ahead.

Kelly Green may have started off as a microtrend in 2020 but it has blown up and is still relevant for 2022. Whether it's with an accessory or a full look, there is no going wrong with this shade of green.
We spotted the citrus shade on many collections from Ganni to Proenza Schouler. While it's been relevant for a few seasons, we're not shocked that it's turned up again for 2022.
Bubblegum pink was replaced with fuchsia and hot pink momentarily, but its officially made a grand return onto the fashion scene. Placed on the scale between fuchsia and millennial pink, it's the perfect medium shade to add to your wardrobe this season.
We've seen plenty of butter and popcorn-esque shades of yellow in the recent months, but lemon yellow is coming to take the throne.
What's better than one green? Two greens. While Kelly Green remains the dominant shade, lime green is making its way out of the woodworks. It was also spotted on many F/W 22 runways, so we can easily predict you'll see plenty of this eye-catching hue throughout the year.
Pantone announced that its 2022 color of the year is Very Peri and while we've yet to see that exact shade in the spotlight, similar muted shades of purple were spotted heavily on the runways.
