Ask anyone fashion-minded person who knows me and they'll confirm that I have a thing for moderately priced It bags. from both under-the-radar and designer brands. Since dropping thousands on designer bags every season isn't exactly something I do, but I'd be lying if I said that I don't invest in one of two more moderately priced (as in the $250-750 range) bags. And given the amount of trend and brand research (and Instagram scrolling, let's be honest) that I do, I guess you could say I have a knack for spotting future It bags.
I've been thinking a lot about which spring bags I'm adding to my collection, since it's something I can start using long before it's actually spring, so why wait? As you'll see among the lovely bags below, hobo bags (and shoulder bags in general) are definitely back, so a lot of these reflect that. Some are from brands like Staud and Jacquemus that regularly churn out It bags and a few are from brands you may not be familiar with just yet (like Marargent and J.Soon), and trust me—they're good. Keep scrolling to shop them for yourself before every other in-the-know person beats you to it.
Moda Operandi's ultra-stylish Fashion Director Lisa Aiken recently told us that Marargent bags have a "stealth wealth investment piece feel". This amazing one rings in at under-$400 and will elicit all the compliments.

Who knew a banana-shaped bag could be so chic? Not me! Rejina Pyo is the queen of quirky bags that are actually beautiful and elegant. Expect to see this one on a lot of well-dressed shoulders throughout fashion month.

Net-a-Porter is always on the cusp of about-to-blow-up bag designers, and this sculptural tote they've stocked is no exception.

Staud's Moon Bag was one of 2019's biggest success stories, and I predict this ruched leather iteration will match (if not exceed) that. Preorder now because it's bound to sell out.

If I close my eyes I can picture Kendall Jenner or one of the Hadid sisters wearing this. Could it be By Far's new Rachel Bag? All signs point to yes, and I'm seriously considering snagging one before it inevitably sells out.

Alexander Wang's crystal-embellished bags are clearly a delight to gaze at, and shiny party bags were all over the S/S 20 runways. Plus, Gigi Hadid was photographed carrying a similar bag by the designer a few days ago. All the makings of an It bag right there, if you ask me.

If you want to give your shoulder a rest and score an It bag for less than $250 this faux leather option is your best bet. It's roomy enough to hold all of your essentials and will make all of your outfits infinitely cooler.

Jacquemus is pretty much incapable of designing a bag that isn't an It bag, and this one has been gathering buzz since it made its debut on that gorgeous runway in Provence. I highly advise preordering it before it flys out of stock.

Danse Lente is no stranger to churning out It bags, so it's not surprising that they made it onto this list. It's worth noting that Anna Wintour said raffia accessories are one of spring's biggest trends, so there's that.

You may have already seen this egg-shaped bag on your Instagram feed—Influencers are embracing the structured tote and we're anxiously awaiting more colors to be released (fingers crossed).

Celebs like Kendall Jenner may be to thank for this one. One of Prada's most iconic nylon bags has been reimagined for 2020 and I don't know about you, but I'm saving up for one. It's the perfect everyday bag for spring.
